Alstom wins £642m British train refurbishment and maintenance contract
BRITAIN’s new operator of the West Coast Main Line, Avanti West Coast, has awarded Alstom a seven-year contract worth around £642m to refurbish and maintain the 56 electric Pendolino tilting trains which Alstom originally supplied in 2003.
