REVENUE at CAF, Spain, increased 45% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019 to €636.4m while Editda increased by 29% to €57.4m. However, the manufacturer reported a total loss of €16.4m due mainly to the higher level of debt added following the acquisition of Solaris.

RENFE carried 131 million passengers in the first quarter of 2019, a 7.6% increase compared with the corresponding period in 2018, according to ridership figures released by Spain’s national train operator on April 26.
