Metro Madrid signs €44m maintenance contracts
THE regional government of Madrid has awarded contracts worth more than €44m aimed at improving Metro Madrid services. The contracts cover safety, including security guards and CCTV systems, along with resources for improving the maintenance of trains and facilities.

Mixed bag for Adif in half-yearly results
SPANISH infrastructure managers Adif and Adif High Speed (Adif AV) recorded a combined Ebitda of €130.43m in the first half of 2019, a 10% decrease compared with the same period last year caused by measures taken to improve services across the Spanish network.

CAF reports 33% increase in first-half earnings
CAF, Spain, reports a 33% increase in adjusted Ebitda to €116m for the first half of 2019 compared with €87m in the first half of 2018 with an Ebitda margin of 9.2%. This increase is attributable mostly to growth and to the contribution of Solaris which CAF acquired in 2018.
