VOSSLOH has opened a new railway turnout production plant in Bendigo, Australia, from which it will supply rail projects in the south and east of the country.
Equipped with modern, high-capacity production machinery, Vossloh says the plant can produce up to 200 turnouts per year. It also features a 228kW solar energy production facility.
Vossloh is targeting the supply of future major Australian projects from the new facility, including the proposed high-speed line between Sydney and Newcastle. Vossloh already has a significant presence in the Australian market as a supplier to the Inland Rail project as well as regional and metro networks across the country.
