SYSTRA has announced the acquisition of Spanish engineering and consulting firm Ardanuy Ingeniería. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Systra says the acquisition will strengthen its presence in Spain, Portugal and Latin America where Ardanuy Ingeniería is active. Major clients include the metros of Santiago, Bogotá, Panama, Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona. The company is also working on high-speed projects in Spain and Portugal.
Systra will gain more than 350 Ardanuy employees working on these projects as well as in India and the Baltic States, and the company says the deal will strengthen its technical expertise.
“This combination will enable us to deliver even greater value to our clients and to jointly take on ambitious projects,” says Systra CEO, Jean-Charles Vollery. “I am convinced that this alliance will offer our teams real opportunities for success and growth.”
