FRENCH rail engineering consultancy Systra has confirmed that Latour Capital and Fimalac have successfully completed their acquisition of 58% of the group from French National Railways (SNCF) and Paris public transport operator RATP.
SNCF and RATP will retain 20% shareholdings in Systra with the remaining 2% held by employees. The deal was originally announced in April.
On announcing completion of the acquisition on October 23, Systra confirmed that CEO and chairman, Mr Pierre Verzat, who led Systra for 13 years, has retired and left the company.
He has been replaced by current COO, Mr Jean-Charles Vollery, who joined Systra in 1996 and was appointed COO in 2021. Vollery will be joined on the company’s executive board by chief finance and administration officer, Mr Arnaud Jeudy.
