EUROFIMA has made a second disbursement of €4.5m to Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ), following the initial release of €8.1m earlier this year. Both payments are related to a €22m framework agreement signed by BDZ and Eurofima in April.
The second tranche was disbursed on July 1 with a repayment period of 10 years. The finance supports the acquisition of 18 second-hand inter-city coaches previously owned by German Rail (DB). The refurbished coaches will be deployed on services across the Bulgarian network.
