THE design for new X-car six-car trains for the Vienna U-Bahn was presented on March 9 by the city’s environment councillor Ms Ulli Sima, Wiener Linien and Siemens.
A few days before Christmas the first Flexity low-floor tram for Wiener Linien was delivered the short distance from Bombardier’s Vienna plant to the operator’s Simmering depot, where initial testing has been carried out.
