LATVIAN Railways' (LDZ) passenger operating subsidiary, Pasazieru Vilciens (PV), has received bids from three manufacturers to lease 25 to 45 EMUs over a period of 15 years.

DB REGIO has placed a second order worth €30m for nine Link dmus from Polish supplier Pesa as part of a framework contract for up to 470 trains, which was signed in September 2012.

POLISH State Railways (PKP) long-distance subsidiary PKP Intercity has awarded Pesa, Poland, a Zlotys 131.2m ($US 43.4m) contract to supply 10 four-axle 140km/h diesel-electric locomotives.
