KRAKOW Transport Authority (MPK) launched its new fleet of 36 Pesa Krakowiak low-floor LRVs on August 30, when the first vehicles entered service on Line 50.

MPK Wroclaw's new fleet of Pesa Twist low-floor LRVs entered passenger service in the Polish city on August 14, when the first three vehicles were introduced on Line 3.

TRENITALIA marked the introduction of Pesa ATR 220 Swing DMUs on regional lines in central Tuscany on July 13, when one of the new trains was formally presented to Tuscany's regional councillor for infrastructure and transport Mr Vincenzo Ceccarelli and the mayor of Siena Mr Bruno Valentini by Trenitalia CEO Mr Vincenzo Soprano.

MPK Lodz signed a Zlotys 166m ($US 45.8m) contract with Pesa on December 30 for 22 low-floor LRVs, which will be used on the Polish city's 120km metre-gauge tram network.
