Consultation completed for London’s Bakerloo Line extension
TRANSPORT for London (TfL) published its response to last year’s consultation on proposals to extend the Bakerloo line beyond Elephant & Castle on September 12, and said the comments are being included in revised plans which will be subject to a more detailed public consultation in 2019.

Ouigo confirms destinations for services from Paris Gare de Lyon
OUIGO, French National Railways’ (SNCF) low-cost high-speed service, announced on September 12 that it will serve 11 stations in the south of France from Gare du Lyon, after SNCF president Mr Guillaume Pepy confirmed on September 7 it will become the third central Paris station to be served by Ouigo.

ALSTOM confirmed on September 11 that it is working with British rolling stock leasing company Eversholt Rail to refit class 321 EMUs with hydrogen tanks and fuel cells for hydrogen operation, in response to the British government's challenge to eliminate diesel operation on the national network by 2040.
