INTERNATIONAL Railway Journal is pleased to announce the recipients of our Women in Rail Award 2025.
This year’s award honours 10 outstanding women working in a variety of roles across the global railway industry.
The winners are:
- Dr Nadine Artelt, CEO, Saarstahl Rail, and commercial director, Saarstahl Group, France
- Jacynthe Audette, chief commercial officer, Alto, Canada
- Hiba Farès, CEO, RATP Dev, France
- Deepika Kanaiyalal Gangwani, manager, corporate deliverables, Toronto Transit Commission, Canada
- Aprajita Nagpal, deputy general manager/architect, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), India
- Cassandra Quach vice-president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, Canadian Pacific Kansas City, Canada
- Luciana Martins Romar, regulatory affairs and litigation manager, MetrôRio, Brazil
- Wendy Schroeder, senior director of business systems, CSX, United States, and
- Andrea Pavel Veberová, project manager, Škoda Group, Czech Republic.
“This is the fourth time we have run our Women in Rail Award and as always the calibre of entry was extremely high, making selecting the winners a difficult task,” says IRJ editor-in-chief, Kevin Smith. “The intention of the award has always been to shine the spotlight on talented and respected women making waves in the sector and serving as an inspiration to those working around them. This year is no exception, and I am pleased to say the award is going from strength to strength.”
