INTERNATIONAL Railway Journal is pleased to announce the recipients of our Women in Rail Award for 2026.
This year’s award honours 14 outstanding women working in a variety of roles across the global railway industry.
The winners are:
- Edelene Ee Si Ya, vice-president, power, building and facilities, and deputy head, network systems maintenance, SMRT Trains, Singapore
- Lindsay Fenton, chief of operations, TTC NST Project, Alstom, Canada
- Carole Field, assistant vice-president, compensation and pensions, CPKC, Canada
- Prisca Flattot, senior vice-president, technical and operational performance, Systra, France
- Latasha Garrison, assistant general counsel, CSX, United States
- Srisha Gupta, strategy lead, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), India.
- Banita Hyman, senior director, infrastructure and cloud services, Norfolk Southern, United States
- Jasmine Manley, accounts payable manager, Anacostia Rail Holdings, United States
- Bian Hong Neo, chief civil engineer and deputy group director, infrastructure design and engineering, Land Transport Authority, Singapore
- Onicca Seleka, production foreman, Pandrol, South Africa
- Ksenija Stanic-Colic, rail specialist, GM Rail, Australia
- Ayfer Uslu, traffic operations manager, Izban, Turkey
- Manuela Waldner, chief financial officer, Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), Austria, and
- Michelle Wan, vice-president, projects, Hitachi Rail, Canada.
“This is the fifth time we have run our Women in Rail Award and as always the calibre of entries was extremely high, making selecting the winners a difficult task,” says IRJ editor-in-chief, Kevin Smith.
“The intention of the award has always been to shine the spotlight on talented and respected women making waves in the sector and serving as an inspiration to those working around them. This year is no exception, and I am pleased to say the award is going from strength to strength.”

We plan to run the Women in Rail Award again in 2027. Also keep an eye out for our Young Rail Leaders Award, nominations for which will open in October, and the winners announced in our December issue.
