While Adif can carry out most of the routine maintenance itself, it occasionally needs to use specialist companies due to the volume of work in an area or for specific jobs.
The contract will cover the following areas:
- preventative maintenance
- urgent repairs following incidents
- repairs
- rectification of specific defects
- actions to improve performance, and
- supply of materials.
