The contract includes 15 trains to operate on lines B and B1 and five for Line A, as well as five years maintenance and the supply of spare parts.
Interested parties have until December 16 to submit tenders or a request to participate, with the opening of tenders set for December 17.
The mayor of Rome, Ms Virginia Raggi, and Italy’s minister of infrastructure and transport, Mr Danilo Toninelli, signed an agreement on January 22 to invest €425m in the refurbishment of Rome metro lines A and B, which together total 46km, as well as to upgrade rolling stock.
