BRAZILIAN private operator Trivia Trens, a subsidiary of the Comporte group, has awarded a 24-year fleet maintenance contract worth €500m to CAF. The deal involves the comprehensive maintenance of 107 EMUs operating on São Paulo commuter lines 11/Coral, 12/Sapphire and 13/Jade. The contract is due to start in July 2026.
Most of the EMUs coverd by the contract were originally built by CAF, but the whole fleet for the three lines will be equipped with LeadMind, CAF’s digital platform designed to optimise train performance. This provides real-time monitoring of critical parameters, condition-based maintenance indicators, and predictive analytics. These features improve the maintenance planning and ensure greater rolling stock availability.
Trains running on lines 11,12 and 13 serve approximately 800,000 passengers per day in key municipalities, including São Paulo, Guarulhos, Mogi das Cruzes, Poá, Suzano, Ferraz de Vasconcelos and Itaquaquecetuba.
