MEXICO’s president Mr Andrés Manuel López Obrador (Amlo) officially launched the Maya Train project with an indigenous ceremony near the ancient Mayan ruins of Palenque on December 16.

GERMANY’s Rhine-Ruhr Express (RRX) regional network was launched with the start of the 2019 timetable on December 9, when Abellio’s German subsidiary Abellio Rail NRW took over operation of Line RE11 (Düsseldorf – Essen – Dortmund – Hamm – Kassel) services from DB Regio.
