China expands high-speed and overnight sleeper services

Work starts on Chinese high-speed line
CONSTRUCTION has commenced on a new 109km high-speed line in China’s Hubei province, which will connect the Shanghai - Wuhan - Chengdu railway with the Zhengzhou - Chongqing line and provide a faster eastern connection from central China.
