Regiojet orders Pesa EMUs for Czech regional services
THE owner and CEO of Czech passenger operator Regiojet, Mr Raadim Jancura, and CEO of Polish rolling stock supplier Pesa Bydgoszcz Mr Krzystof Sedzikowski signed a €19.5m contract in Prague on March 7 for seven EMUs for regional services in the Ústí nad Labem area of Northern Bohemia.

BLS Cargo takes over Crossrail
SWISS freight operator BLS Cargo has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the Belgian freight operator Crossrail from the international logistics service provider Rhenus. The deal, which was signed on March 5, has been backdated to January 1, and is subject to approval by the competition authorities. The purchase price has not been revealed.

THE Rail Vehicle Systems (RVS) division of Knorr-Bremse achieved a 6.2% increase in revenue and an 8.5% improvement in Ebitda last year, according to preliminary results for 2018 released on March 7.
