Moscow LRV contract awarded
MOSCOW light rail operator Mosgortrans has awarded a Roubles 11bn ($US 141.35m) contract to the Trading House STM consortium of Sinara Transport Machines (STM) and Skoda Transportation for the supply of 90 low-floor LRVs.

Norway plans to replace entire long-distance fleet

HS2 Ltd has awarded a £260m contract to a consortium of Porr and Aggregate Industries UK to design and manufacture slab track for the new London - Birmingham - Crewe high-speed line. The contract excludes track in tunnels and on some specialist structures.

Baden-Württemberg receives EU grant for onboard ETCS installation
GERMAN state-owned leasing company Baden-Württemberg State Rail Vehicle Authority (SFBW) has been awarded a €16.7m grant by the European Commission (EC) through its Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the installation of ETCS signalling systems on 238 regional trains.
