MAV-Start exercises last Kiss EMU option
HUNGARY’s national passenger operator MAV-Start has decided to exercise its final option with Stadler for the remaining 21 Kiss double-deck EMUs from a contract signed in 2017 for 40 trains.

Stadler reports record order backlog in first half results
STADLER says it partially exceeded targets for the year in its first half results released on September 3, with the value of orders received surpassing SFr 2.3bn ($US 2.3bn), which is around SFr 1.5bn above the figure reported in the first half of 2018.

AFTER two failed procurements, and a tumultuous third tender, Latvian passenger operator Pasažieru Vilciens (PV) finally concluded a deal for the renewal of its EMU fleet on July 30, when it signed a €241.9m contract with Škoda Vagonka for 32 trains.

Westbahn sells Stadler EMUs to DB and cuts services
AUSTRIAN open access operator Westbahn has announced it is selling its fleet of seven Kiss and 10 Kiss2 double-deck EMUs to German Rail (DB), which it will replace with 15 new six-car Kiss3 sets from Stadler.
