Dutch government to support return of international night train

THE Dutch secretary of state for transport, Mrs Stientje van Veldhoven, has agreed to provide a subsidy of €6.7m for the 2021-2024 period to support the reintroduction of an international night train service.

SWISS Federal Railways (SBB) is thinking of reintroducing overnight sleeper trains due to increasing environmental concerns and political pressure, according to a report by Swiss broadcasting company SFR.
