IRANIAN president Dr Hassan Rouhani inaugurated a 2km extension of Mashhad metro Line 2 from Shohada to Shariati on May 7, connecting the city’s two metro lines for the first time.
THE Iranian city of Mashhad added a second line to its metro network on February 20 with the inauguration of an 8km section of the north-south Line 2 from Shohada to Kashfrood.
MASHHAD became the first Iranian city to complete an urban rail link to its airport on February 6, when the country's president Dr Hassan Rouhani inaugurated the extension of light rail Line 1 from Ghadir to Shahid Hashemi Nejad Airport.
