SONGJIANG Tramway has awarded a joint venture between Shanghai Shentong Metro Group (51%) and Keolis’ Chinese joint venture, Shanghai Keolis (49%), a five-year contract to operate and maintain the 31km Shanghai Songjiang Tramway.

THE KeolisAmey joint venture, which won a 15-year contract in May to operate the Wales & Borders franchise and develop the South Wales Metro, has placed an order with Stadler for 36 CityLink tram-trains and 35 Flirt multiple units, with delivery due to start in 2022.
