Alstom to supply Transdev with 1000th Coradia Lint DMU
TRANSDEV has awarded Alstom a contract worth more than €150m to supply 41 Coradia Lint regional DMUs for operation in the German state of Bavaria. The trains will be operated by Transdev subsidiary Bavarian Regional Railways (BRB) on services from Augsburg to Weilheim, Schongau, Ingolstadt, Eichstätt and Langenneufnach.

Germany to develop plans for Bielefeld - Hannover high-speed line
GERMANY’s minister of transport and digital infrastructure, Mr Enak Ferlemann, says the federal government will develop plans for a high-speed line between Bielefeld and Hannover, which will reduce Cologne - Berlin journey times to less than four hours.

IVU Traffic Technologies, Berlin, has won a Europe-wide call for tenders from German Rail (DB) to supply a new digital planning platform for DB’s long distance division, which will be used to gather and process all operational information relevant to the deployment of long-distance trains.
