SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN public transport authority NAH.SH announced on March 28 that it has selected DB Regio as preferred bidder for a contract to operate the Eastern Electric Network.

ODEG makes major gains in Berlin with new Elbe-Spree regional contracts

DB Regio and East German Railway Company (ODEG) will share the contracts to operate the future Elbe-Spree Network serving Berlin and Brandenburg from December 2022 to 2034. According to local media, the contracts have been provisionally awarded by Berlin-Brandenburg Transport Authority (VBB), but remain subject to a 10-day statutory cooling-off period.

DB’s troubles continue despite market growth

THE German rail market continued to grow in 2018. Figures for the first half of the year issued by the Federal Statistical Office Destatis showed expansion in the long-distance segment of 3.8% to 71 million passengers and 0.9% in regional and urban rail to 1.3 billion passengers.

Pesa confirms restructuring on schedule and DB contracts secure
