IRJ In-Brief - Fleet: Skoda trains finally authorised in Germany; Perm to purchase 15 LRVs; New EMUs on their way to Israel
Germany: DB Regio will begin operating services in the state of Bavaria using six Škoda double-deck push-pull trains from November 12. Following testing on the Munich - Ingolstadt -Treuchtlingen line that is due to begin on November 16, they will enter service from December 13 on Nuremberg - Munich Express regional services.

Leo Express ups compensation claim in Czech predatory pricing case
CZECH private operator Leo Express has announced it will increase the amount it is seeking in compensation from Czech Railways (ČD) from Koruna 468m ($US 20.9m) to Koruna 1.05bn for alleged predatory pricing on passenger services operated on the Prague - Ostrava route between 2011 and 2019.

EC investigation alleges Czech Railways engaged in “predatory pricing”
THE European Commission (EC) has informed state-owned Czech Railways (ČD) of its preliminary view that ČD breached European Union (EU) anti-trust rules by engaging in predatory pricing on passenger services operated on the Prague - Ostrava route between 2011 and 2019.

THE Czech Ministry of Transport’s (MDCR) Committee to Increase Traffic Safety has approved a timetable for the rollout of ETCS on all Czech core Trans-European Network for Transport (TEN-T) lines by 2030 during a meeting on October 8.
