Argentinean Trains restores long-distance Pinamar connection
ARGENTINA’s national operator Argentinean Trains (TA) has re-launched regional passenger services on the 100km line from General Guido junction station on the Buenos Aires - Mar del Plata mainline to the Atlantic coast resort town of Pinamar, a decade after they were withdrawn.

Buenos Aires Subte concession awarded
THE Buenos Aires regional government has awarded incumbent Metrovías a new 12-year contract effective 90 days after the announcement to operate the city’s Subte metro system. The award follows a long running tender exercise that initially saw significant international interest. An optional three-year extension is also included.

ATS installation complete on Urquiza Line in Buenos Aires
ARGENTINEAN Trains Infrastructure (TAI) has completed the installation of an automatic train stop (ATS) system on the 26km Urquiza commuter line between the city of Buenos Aires and San Miguel.
