NS settles East Palestine derailment claims
Norfolk Southern agrees to pay $US 15m civil penalty as part of $US1.7bn settlement package.
The final truckload of impacted soil has been removed from the derailment zone and transported offsite. The next phase of site remediation will include backfilling excavated areas and continued assessment of soil and creek sheens and sediments.
