IRJ at InnoTrans 2024: Messe Berlin, the organiser of InnoTrans, says this year’s trade fair will be the biggest since the railway exhibition was first launched in 1996.

The number of exhibitors has increased from 2771 in 2022 to 2940 this year and the number of countries represented has grown from 56 to 59. The total area of 200,000m2 in 42 halls is fully booked. This year there are 133 rail vehicles displayed on 3.5km of track compared with 128 in 2022. These include an LRV from Korea and a hydrogen train from China.

“With the display halls, outdoor display and Summer Garden all fully occupied, it is now bigger than ever,” says Mr Dirk Hoffmann, COO of Messe Berlin. “It is the largest trade show ever to be held in Berlin and caps a unique success story. With its focus on electrification, digitalisation and sustainability, it sets exactly the right priorities.”
