EUROPEAN Sleeper has confirmed that it will launch its inaugural Brussels - Venice overnight service on February 5. The train will operate twice per week throughout February and March.
The southbound train will depart Brussels at 17.00, Antwerp at 18.00, Rotterdam at 20.00, Utrecht at 21.00 and Cologne at 23.00, arriving in Munich for departure at 07.00 the following morning. It will continue to Innsbruck for a 10.00 departure, Bolzano at 12.00, Verona at 13.00 and arrive in Venice at 14.00. The return service will depart Venice at 15.00 and arrive in Brussels at 11.00 the next day.
“The provisional timetable has been carefully designed to align with European school holidays, the ski season, and city break getaways to Italy’s most iconic destinations, including Verona and Venice, offering a convenient and sustainable travel option for passengers across Europe,” the private operator said in a statement.
Tickets are still available for the inaugural journey and start at €119 for a seat or a berth in a shared cabin of up to six. A bed in a berth of up to three passengers is available from €239. Tickets can be purchased on European Sleeper’s website as well partner distributors including Belgian National Railways (SNCB), Trainline and Omio.
