More diesel locomotives to be rebuilt for PKP Intercity
PKP Intercity (PKP IC) has agreed a Zlotys 90.3m ($US 23.7m) contract with rail engineering firm H Cegielski in Poznan, Poland, to rebuild 13 class SM42 diesel locomotives. The work is being funded as part of the European Union (EU) Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014 - 2020.

Greater Anglia Stadler Flirts authorised for passenger use
BRITISH national safety authority, the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), has granted an Authorisation to Place in Service (APS) for Stadler’s 24 four-car bi-mode multiple unit Flirt trains for Greater Anglia, a first for the Swiss manufacturer.
