Removal/Sale of M-Trains

MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors/buyers to tender for the removal/sale of up to 750 cars of M-trains (electric multiple units), of which 128 cars may require temporary storage at buyer’s site before sale.

These M-trains are currently running in the Corporation’s Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line and Tseung Kwan O Line and are planned to be in service until their scheduled service retirement which will take place from late 2018 to 2024.

Interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to contact the Corporation for the collection of the non-disclosure agreement and the tender documents. A signed non-disclosure agreement without amendment or qualifications must be returned to the Corporation prior to collecting the tender documents.

Tender closing is 2:00pm on 8 February 2018, Thursday (Hong Kong Time). Late tenders will not be accepted.
