EUROPEAN leasing company Railpool has announced the successful acquisition of €460m of funding to support its ongoing growth strategy.
KfW IPEX-Bank and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Crédit Agricole CIB) have both agreed to provide €200m of debt capital over seven years to Railpool, which will enable it to further expand its operations and enhance its service offerings across Europe.
In addition, Railpool has secured a €60m revolving credit facility with KfW IPEX-Bank, also for a term of seven years.
The financing was arranged under an existing platform, with KfW IPEX-Bank acting as facility and security agent and mandated lead arranger, alongside Crédit Agricole CIB as mandated lead arranger. The banking syndicate also serves as bookrunner and underwriter for the deal.
“For us, large-volume financing is a recognition of our business model and our plans in Europe for the coming years,” says Railpool CFO, Mr Ingo Wurzer. “We are very pleased to secure the continuous development of our rolling stock leasing business in conjunction with our full-service offering with long-term partners.”
