INNOFREIGHT has developed its Heavy-Duty Loading System (HDLS) to load heavy-duty 20ft containers weighing up to 56 tonnes on 2 x 30ft InnoWaggons.
HDLS uses side-mounted stopper consoles which obviate the need for additional measures to secure the container in place on the wagon, saving time when loading and unloading.
InnoFreight says HDLS reduces CO₂ emissions by nearly 75% compared with conventional road haulage and offers an 8-tonne payload advantage over conventional solutions.
The additional capacity is achieved through the interaction with the lightweight InnoWaggon, which InnoFreight says has proven exceptionally robust in heavy-duty operations. As the platform for the HDLS, a 2 x 30ft InnoWaggon can transport up to 112 tonnes and, thanks to integrated ballast plates, can also operate empty without restrictions.
InnoFreight says in future HDLS will be available in combination with the single version of the 30ft InnoWaggon.
