Thello plans open-access Milan - Paris HS service

Swedish Competition Authority calls for regulation of train ticket sales
SWEDEN’s Competition Authority has written to the Swedish government suggesting that the regulation of train ticket sales could be a way to break the dominant position of national operator SJ which currently bars private competing operators from selling their tickets on its website, sj.se.

DB Regio and Stadler sign Kiss EMU contract
DB REGIO and Stadler have signed a contract worth €220m for the development, construction and delivery of 18 double-deck Kiss EMUs, after the operator was awarded the contract by Schleswig-Holstein public transport authority NAH.SH to operate the Eastern Electric Network.

Trenitalia orders 14 high-speed Frecciarossa 1000 Trains
ITALIAN national operator Trenitalia has awarded a 60:40 partnership between Hitachi and Bombardier a contract to supply 14 high-speed Frecciarossa 1000 Trains, as well as a 10 year maintenance service agreement for the new trains.
