RZD seeks approval for 1000km high-speed rail project
ACCORDING to the Russian newspaper Kommersant, Russian Railways (RZD) has submitted plans to Russia’s deputy prime minister, Mr Maxim Akimov, to build a 1080km high-speed line from St Petersburg via Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.

Mobilinx consortium awarded $US 4.6bn Hurontario LRT contract
INFRASTRUCTURE Ontario and Metrolinx have awarded the Mobilinx consortium a $US 4.6bn, 30-year contract to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the 18km Hurontario light rail project in Ontario.
