India’s high-speed project runs into political trouble

Ferrovienord orders 31 Alstom trains for Lombardy regional services
ITALIAN operator Ferrovienord has signed a €194m contract with Alstom for 31 regional trains for operation in the Lombardy Region of Italy. The contract is the first within a framework agreement signed with Ferrovienord’s parent company North Milan Railway (FNM). The trains will be delivered from 2022 onwards.
