FirstGroup rail division records revenue growth, decline in operating profit
FIRSTGROUP’s First Rail division generated £1.2bn in revenue in the six months to September 30, up 80.7% from £677.4m in the same period in 2017. Adjusted operating profit was £29.3m compared with £31.1m in 2017, down 5.8%, while the adjusted operating margin dropped from 4.6% to 2.4%.
