Istanbul Airport rail link to open in late 2019
ISTANBUL’s M11 express metro line connecting the Gayrettepe financial district and the new Istanbul Airport will be completed by the end of 2019, Turkey’s transport and infrastructure minister, Mr Cahit Turhan, confirmed this week.

United Wagon wins order for new-generation fertiliser wagons
RUSSIAN fertiliser producer, MCC EuroChem, has awarded a contract to United Wagon for 700 new-generation wagons to transport potash from its Usolskiy Potash plant. Delivery of the wagons will be completed by the end of the first half of 2019.

Siemens Mobility to supply CBTC for Chinese Metro projects

IPEM: Russia freight wagon market could be worth $US 24bn by 2030
RUSSIAN freight wagon owners will require 400,000-550,000 wagons between 2019 and 2030, according to research by the Russia-based Institute of Natural Monopolies Research (IPEM). IPEM estimates that this will translate into freight wagon market worth $US 17.4-23.5bn during the same period.

Delhi metro network reaches 300km
LESS than 16 years after the opening of its first line, the Delhi metro network passed the 300km mark on October 31 with the inauguration of the 17.8km eastern section of the orbital Pink Line (Line 7) from Shiv Vihar to Trilokpuri Sanjay Lake.
