Montreal Transport orders 17 additional Azur trains
MONTREAL Transport (STM) and a consortium of Bombardier and Alstom have signed an amendment to a contract from October 2010 to supply an additional 17 nine-car Azur metro trains, valued at $C 448m ($US 339.3m).

Istanbul Airport rail link to open in late 2019
ISTANBUL’s M11 express metro line connecting the Gayrettepe financial district and the new Istanbul Airport will be completed by the end of 2019, Turkey’s transport and infrastructure minister, Mr Cahit Turhan, confirmed this week.

DSB reports large drop in profits over first nine months of 2018
DANISH State Railways (DSB) achieved a pre-tax profit of DKr 338m ($US 51.7m) in the first nine months of 2018, a 43%, DKr 257m reduction from the same period last year. Total profit for the period was DKr 263m, down 43% from DKr 458m in the first nine months of 2017.

PKP Intercity to increase services in 2019
PKP Intercity plans to operate up to 383 trains daily with domestic and international connections when its new timetable comes into effect on December 9, including an increase in the frequency of Pendolino services from Warsaw to Krakow and the Tricity area.
