Västtrafik orders more 200km/h EMUs from Bombardier
VÄSTTRAFIK, the public transport authority for the Swedish county of Västra Götaland, has exercised an option for five more 200km/h Zefiro Express regional EMUs from Bombardier in addition to the 40 it ordered in March.

Turkey awards contract for Cerkezkoy - Kapikule upgrade
A consortium consisting Gülermak Heavy Industry Construction and Alsim Alarko Industrial Plants & Trading has been awarded a contract to modernise a 200km stretch of mainline between Istanbul and the Bulgarian border, Turkey’s only rail connection with the European rail network.

NORTH Milan Railway (FNM) and Stadler signed an eight-year framework agreement in Milan on November 21 for the supply of between 30 and 50 bi-mode (diesel and electric) multiple units for regional services.

Keolis awarded Tours public transport contract extension
TOURS Métropole Val de Loire has awarded Keolis a contract starting from January 1 2019 to operate the “Fil Bleu” Tours Metropole public transport network in France, with the tram line and 26 bus services expected to generate €427m in revenue over the seven year duration of the agreement.

Keolis and RATP Dev selected for Paris’ CDG Express operating contract
THE French government has named the Hello Paris consortium, comprising Keolis and RATP Dev, as preferred bidder for a contract to operate the CDG Express service which will provide a direct link between Paris Gare de l’Est and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

Bombardier awarded Hauts-de-France EMU contract
FRENCH National Railways (SNCF) has awarded Bombardier a contract to supply 19 Omneo Premium double-deck intercity EMUs, which the state is purchasing on behalf of the Hauts-de-France region.
