Upgrade of Auckland network begins with development of third main line
DOWNER NZ has begun constructing a third track along Auckland’s mainline between Wiri and Quay Park, the first component of the wider $NZ 1bn ($US 660.9m) Auckland Metro Rail programme funded under the New Zealand Upgrade Programme (NZUP).

BRITAIN’s Railway Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) is working with crowd simulation company Crowd Dynamics to model the effectiveness of social distancing on trains and in stations in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Adif reports losses for first half of 2020
SPANISH infrastructure manager Adif has reported a net loss of €325.2m for the first six months of 2020, more than doubling its previous loss of €134.05m for the same period in 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
