China opens HS line and Xinzheng Airport link
CHINA opened the 432km high-speed line linking Taiyuan, Henan and Zhengzhou on December 12 together with a rail link between Zhengzhou and the city’s Xinzheng Airport.

CHINA’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has published plans to start construction of 10,000km of new inter-city and urban rail lines in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay areas in the next five years.

Bane Nor implements Eulynx ERTMS standardisation
NORWEGIAN infrastructure manager Bane Nor has begun implementing the Eulynx ERTMS standardisation as part of its rollout of ETCS on the Roa - Hønefoss line. Bane Nor is the first infrastructure manager to use the standard for interfaces between the Traffic Management System (TMS) and track-side signalling system.

SNCF awarded three-year contract for Transilien network
PARIS transport operator Île-de-France Mobility (IDFM) has announced it will tender services on the Transilien heavy rail network from 2024, with incumbent operator French National Railways (SNCF) awarded a contract to operate services between 2020-2023.
