Adif announces €126.8m high speed and conventional line tenders
SPANISH infrastructure manager Adif announced on October 27 that it will tender €126.8m of railway construction and renewal contracts including three new sections of the Madrid - Extremadura high-speed line (LAV), and upgrades to the Ciudad Real - Badajoz conventional line.

Services on Cologne - Frankfurt HS line to resume from November 18
GERMAN Rail (DB) announced on October 26 that it plans to reinstate regular services on the Cologne - Frankfurt high-speed line from November 18, following a severe fire on a class 403 ICE 3 on October 12.

Five compete for £2.75bn HS2 fleet order

Eurostar to step up Amsterdam services in 2019
