Thailand launches high-speed line feasibility study
STATE Railway of Thailand (SRT) has begun a feasibility study for the 190km Baht 101.7bn ($US 3.2bn) Rayong - Chanthaburi - Trat eastern Phase II section of its high-speed rail project. Work on the study is expected to be completed next month and will be submitted to the Thai cabinet next year.

GERMAN Rail (DB) has announced an order worth €1bn for a further 30 Siemens Velaro ICE3 trains for delivery between December 2022 and 2026. The contract includes options for up to 60 additional trains.
