HS2 Ltd showcases £12bn in supply chain opportunities
THE developer of Britain’s High Speed 2 (HS2) project, HS2 Ltd, launched a four-day virtual ‘Meet the Contractor’ event on November 23, in order to showcase more than 400,000 supply chain opportunities worth around £12bn for Phase 1 of the project.

SNCF ridership holding up during second lockdown
FRENCH National Railways (SNCF) reported on November 17 that passenger numbers were holding up better during France’s second lockdown, which began on October 30 and is expected to run until December 1, than during the first, which ran from mid-March to mid-May.

€10.5bn for rail in Portuguese 10-year investment plan

China Railways to receive new high-speed trains
CHINA National Railways (CR) will receive a new fleet of 14 eight-car high-speed trains from Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation (BST) by January 2021, under a Yuan 1.6 billion ($US 248m) contract agreed in 2018.
