Russian network renewals help increase line speeds
RUSSIAN Railways (RZD) overhauled 6400km of track in 2019, including the complete replacement of rail on sections totalling 1900km. The railway also installed 3000 new points and upgraded signalling infrastructure covering 145km of line and 339 points.
