Route development contract for Cork light rail line awarded
TRANSPORT Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and the National Transport Authority (NTA) have awarded Jacobs Engineering Ireland a contract to undertake a route option analysis and develop initial designs for the proposed €1bn Luas Light Rail Transit (LRT) line from Ballincollig to Mahon Point in Cork.

DOZENS of sites across Britain with higher-risk trackside slopes are to be inspected following the fatal derailment of a ScotRail service near Stonehaven on August 12 in which three people died and six were injured.
