Zambia Northwest Rail Phase 1A agreement signed
ZAMBIA’s Northwest Rail (NWR) has signed a cooperation agreement with Uroven, Britain, and Transmashholding (TMH) subsidiary Smart Operations to build the first phase of the 590km east-west railway.

Mayan Train rolling stock and equipment tender announced
MEXICO’s National Fund for Tourism Promotion (Fonatur), which is overseeing construction of the 1452km Mayan Train project on the Yucatan peninsula, has released details of the international public tender to supply rolling stock and signalling and operations equipment for the first five sections of the project.

Germany: DB Regio will begin operating services in the state of Bavaria using six Škoda double-deck push-pull trains from November 12. Following testing on the Munich - Ingolstadt -Treuchtlingen line that is due to begin on November 16, they will enter service from December 13 on Nuremberg - Munich Express regional services.
